Sido Muncul, A Company Owned By Conglomerate Irwan Hidayat Donates IDR 100 Million To Badminton Legend Verawaty Fajrin
JAKARTA - PT Sido Muncul Herbal Medicine and Pharmacy Tbk (Sido Muncul) provided financial assistance for Indonesian women's badminton legend Verawaty Fajrin.
As is known, the 1980 women's singles badminton world champion was struggling with lung cancer at the Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Jakarta. Through her son Yandi, Sido Muncul handed over assistance worth IDR 100 million at the Dharmais Cancer Hospital in Jakarta on Friday, September 24.
Director of Sido Muncul Irwan Hidayat also gave support and encouragement to Verawaty Fajrin so that she could recover quickly and return to her family.
"I am sorry for Verawaty Fajrin's illness. Therefore, we from Sido Muncul participated and helped Vera. Maybe Pak Jokowi and the government have covered the treatment for her. "said Irwan in his written statement, Thursday, October 7.

Verawaty Wiharjo is an Indonesian badminton athlete who has contributed many achievements in the 1980s in women's singles, women's doubles, or mixed doubles.
Verawaty also brought the 2018 Asian Games torch and handed it over to Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta on August 17, 2018.
