Anticipating The Spike Of COVID-19, Flood Refugee Places Will Be Transformed Into Vaccination Centers

JAKARTA - The flood shelters in Central Jakarta will be used as a COVID-19 vaccination center by the Central Jakarta Health Sub-dept.

"We will set up a vaccination center in the refugee camps, and even then, if there is an evacuation center," said Head of the Health Sub-dept., Erizon Safari, when contacted by reporters, Wednesday, October 6.

Erizon said this step is a form of protection for refugees with the COVID-19 vaccine. He also ensures that health workers have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Later, officers will conduct another screening for those who have not been vaccinated.

"We will vaccinate them because they can be at risk of being exposed to COVID-19 while in refugee camps," he said.
