Unlike Other Political Parties, Said Iqbal Affirms That The Labor Party Is Not A Dynasty Or Family Party

JAKARTA - The President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) Said Iqbal, who is the President of the Labor Party, stated that his party is not owned by individuals.

Said Iqbal said this after declaring the management of the Labor Party for the period 2021-2026 which was broadcast virtually.

"The labor party is also different from other parties, the party owner is not individual. The party owner is not a dynasty or family", said Said, Tuesday, October 5.

The declared labor party consists of 11 founding organizations of the old Labor Party, the Confederation of Indonesian Prosperous Trade Unions (KSBSI), the Indonesian Workers' House-FSPMI, the Indonesian Workers' House-KSPI, the Indonesian People's Organization-KSPSI, KPBI, the Indonesian Workers' House-FSP KEP, and the Indonesian Workers' House-FSP FARKES.

Then, the Indonesian Peasant Union (SPI), the Indonesian Private Educator and Honorary Personnel Forum (FPTHSI), and the Indonesian Women's Movement (GPI).

Therefore, Iqbal said that there is no single party with the most powerful and all members can hold an extraordinary congress (KLB) if there are irregularities committed by party officials.

"Party owners are the 11 founding organizations here called the People's Assembly. The People's Assembly can summon the Exco (Executive Committee) if there is a mistake and can even ask for an extraordinary congress because the party owners or the People's Assembly are the 11 founding organizations", he explained.
