Elon Musk Announces Will Tweet Floki, Will Dogecoin Soar Again?

JAKARTA - Tesla CEO Elon Musk captivated the Dogecoin community by announcing that he will post another picture of Floki, his Shiba Inu puppy, on Monday, September 4.

The self-proclaimed US billionaire Dogefather tweeted that his adorable pup had arrived in early September. As reported by U.Today, Floki Inu, a Dogecoin copycat launched on Binance Smart Chain, experienced a 100 percent price increase after Musk published the first photo of his puppy much to the delight of his fans.

Musk, who is currently the richest person on the planet with an estimated net worth of US$200 billion, recently argued that crypto is indestructible, but he believes that governments are capable of stunting the growth of the industry.

Dogecoin is currently struggling to regain its momentum. After the recent retail mania ended, Dogecoin has become less sensitive to Musk's tweets.

So far, if Musk tweets something about crypto, usually the price of the cryptocurrency will increase. This proves that Musk's influence is huge in today's crypto world. But if the tweet from the owner of the Tesla car factory no longer has any effect, it could be that his personality has started to disappear among other crypto traders.

Despite growing merchant adoption, the parody cryptocurrency is now on the cusp of leaving the other 10 largest cryptocurrencies by market cap after disappointing price performances over the past few months.

DOGE is now down 65 percent against Bitcoin, which has been the mainstay of the coin, since its price peaked on May 7.
