JAKARTA - The Central Java contingent's medal count increased tonight. The gold medal was won by the Central Java Putri Takraw team after defeating the West Java team in the final round, at the Cenderawasih University GOR, Sunday, October 3.

Before Ganjar arrived, the Central Java team was 16-11 behind from the West Java team. However, after Ganjar arrived, the enthusiasm of the athletes was even more flaming, and managed to equalize and finally win the match.
Tensions arose when Ganjar and his wife, Siti Atikoh, witnessed the live match. The first set was quite tight with the final score of 24-22 for Central Java's victory. And in the second set, the Central Java team also managed to lock up the victory so they were entitled to take home the gold medal.
Ganjar, who couldn't finish watching the match because there was an event elsewhere, was so happy to hear the news. He said he was amazed to see the struggle of the athletes.
"I'm really excited to see the match, to see the extraordinary struggle of my friends. The numbers are chasing, only one point has almost reached 25. Their struggle is extraordinary," he said.
