Inaugurating The Indonesian Pavilion At Expo 2020 Dubai, The Minister Of Trade Doesn't Just Want To Sell: We Are Active In Global Issues
JAKARTA – Trade Minister, Muhammad Lutfi, emphasized that Indonesia's participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai event was not only for business purposes. More than that, the presence of the Indonesian Pavilion is proof that the government is active in developments around the world.
According to the Minister of Trade, this momentum will make the world recognize Indonesia's commitment to taking part in global issues.
"This is a reaffirmation of our commitment to work for the welfare of our planet with a focus on sustainable development and climate change mitigation", he said in an official statement when inaugurating the Indonesian Pavilion, quoted on Saturday, October 2.
The Trade Minister added, through the spirit of Creating the Future, From Indonesia to the World, Indonesia is ready to contribute globally together to create a better future.
"We must no longer ignore the great potential of our nation for the Indonesian people themselves and the world", he said.
Furthermore, the Minister of Trade revealed that every world-class exhibition marks a new era in our global society. For this reason, Indonesia is honored to be a part of this historical journey.
“Allow me to express my gratitude and appreciation to all those who have contributed to this great journey. And don't forget to allow us to expand our hospitality and let the world see Indonesia with the endless opportunities it has to offer", he said.
For information, the Indonesian Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai event was inaugurated by the Minister of Trade M. Lutfi and the Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi on Friday, October 1 local time.
The opening of the Indonesian Pavilion was enlivened by cultural arts performances, dances, and songs representing various regions in Indonesia.

This event also promotes the charm of Indonesian culture to attract visitors. The Indonesian Pavilion occupies an area of 1,860 m2 and a building area of around 3,000 m2. The Indonesian Pavilion consists of three floors and is located in the Opportunity District zone with the concept of Indonesia Emas 2045.
In it, the Indonesian Pavilion presents 300 MSME business products which are a window for 64 million national populist business actors.
During the exhibition period, there are several agendas to be held, such as 26 weekly themes and more than 75 business forums in a hybrid format ready to be held. This activity is also supported by 22 ministries and institutions, 8 provincial governments, and Indonesian business actors.
“The Indonesian Pavilion will be our home in Dubai for the next few months and Indonesia's window to the world. We want to strengthen global partnerships for trading, investing, and visiting”, concluded the Minister of Trade M. Lutfi.
