The sub-district head of Sumalata, Osna Haluti, said the fisherman immediately informed him of the discovery of the body around Tanjung Keramat, the coastal area of Hutokalo Village.

The body was identified as Endi Bajo (48), a resident of Kasia Village, Sumalata District, who was swept away by the swift current of the Kasia River on Thursday, September 30 yesterday at around 15.00 p.m.

Endi was swept away with his wife Rusmin Olii (47) who had been found dead on Sumalata Beach. The husband and wife (couple) are known to want to cross the Kasia River, returning from gardening.

Endi's body was found floating by fishermen who immediately informed the discovery.

The evacuation, based on the Antara report, was carried out by the SAR team, the Taruna Siaga Disaster (Tagana), the National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri), assisted by village officials and the community, who had indeed carried out the search.

Endi's body was immediately taken to the local health center, for a post-mortem before being handed over to the family.
