Grandpa Who Molested 2 Children In Banyuwangi Arrested

BANYUWANGI - Grandpa with the initials SR (64) was arrested by the police for molesting 2 children in Banyuwangi, East Java. SR was named a suspect and immediately arrested.

This lewd grandfather has a mode of persuading the victim by giving food and money. The victims are 8 and 7 years old who are also neighbors of the victim. The family who learned about SR's grandfather's abuse reported it to the police.

"There were reports from the public and then we did a post-mortem, processed the crime scene, then examined witnesses and arrested the perpetrators", said Rogojampi Police Chief, Kompol Sudarsono, Thursday, September 30.

The sexual abuse of 2 children was carried out in a dragon fruit garden on Monday, September 20. The victim who was playing was lured by the suspect.

SR's grandfather was charged with Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection. The penalty is a minimum of 5 years in prison.
