Energy Subsidy Planned For IDR 134.02 Trillion In 2022, The Most For Fuel And 3 Kg LPG

JAKARTA - The Working Committee of the Indonesian House of Representatives Budget Agency approved an energy subsidy of IDR 134.02 trillion proposed by the government in the 2022 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Plan.

In the working meeting held today, it was stated that the energy subsidy management budget consisted of subsidies for certain types of fuel and 3 kg LPG for IDR 77.54 trillion. While the other IDR 56.47 billion in electricity subsidies.

In detail, the volume of LPG was agreed to be 8 million metric tons, with a fixed subsidy for diesel oil set at IDR 500 per liter, and underpayment allocated at IDR 10.17 trillion.

Meanwhile, the policy direction for subsidies for fuel and 3 kg LPG next year will be focused on two things.

First, continue to provide fixed subsidies for diesel fuel and subsidies (price difference) for kerosene and 3 kg LPG cylinders.

"Second, implementing the transformation of LPG subsidy policies on target and becoming target-based recipients gradually and carefully taking into account the economic and social conditions of the community", said Panja in his report at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 28.

In the document attached to the Panja, it is known that the amount of kerosene to be subsidized is 480,000 kiloliters and diesel oil is 15.1 million kiloliters.

This subsidy budget is part of the 2022 state expenditure plan which is amounted to IDR 2,708.7 trillion with an income side of IDR 1,840.7 trillion.
