Because Of Food, 5-year-old Daughter Abused By Stepmother, Victim's Father Reports To Police

JAKARTA – Annoyed that his son was a victim of abuse, BM (initials) went to the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters to report a case of abuse against his 5-year-old daughter. BM reported his wife, YC and AM, the victim's aunt to the East Jakarta Metro Police PPA unit.

According to BM, the abuse of his daughter occurred at his house in the Ciracas sub-district, East Jakarta. Finally, the persecution was discovered by BM on Sunday, September 26, yesterday afternoon.

BM saw that his daughter's face had cuts and bruises on other parts of her body. Because he was upset, BM took legal action so that his wife, who was none other than the victim's stepmother along with the aunt, were deterred by their actions.

BM explained that the two perpetrators abused the victim because they were not happy because their daughter had taken their food. When the victim cried, the perpetrator even called his daughter naughty.

"Because maybe my child is hungry, so she takes the food that is there. Maybe my wife doesn't take care of it," said BM to reporters, Monday, September 27.

BM asked his daughter, but she would not speak the truth when her stepmother had beaten her.

"My daughter continues to be blamed. She keeps beaten and beaten," he said.

As a result of this alleged abuse, the victim suffered injuries to her nose, left eye, pinched cheeks, right and left arms. In fact, said BM, YC's stepmother did not hesitate to abuse her stepdaughter with a broom handle until it broke.

As a result of the abuse, the joy of the victim was lost. BM said that now his beloved daughter is often gloomy and faces the wall of her rented house.

"(The incident) has been around for a long time, but this has only recently been discovered. It is known from her injuries, found out yesterday after Isha," he said.

After making a report on the persecution at the East Jakarta Metro Police PPA unit, BM has also carried out a Visum Et Repertum at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.
