COVID-19 Update As Of September 21: New Cases Of 3,263, Recovers Increase By 6,581
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 248,657 specimens were examined with the results of 3,263 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,195,958 people and active cases are 52,447", according to data from the Ministry of Health, Tuesday, September 21.
Today's recovered cases increased by 6,581 cases, bringing the total to 4,002,706 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 171 people and a total of 140,805 people.
The province with the newest cases was in East Java with 316 cases and a total of 393,665 cases. Followed by North Sumatra which has 315 new cases with a total of 103,719 cases. West Java has 285 new cases and a total of 701,052 cases. Then, Central Java has 245 new cases and a total of 479,879 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to North Sumatra with an additional 577 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 565 recovered cases, Aceh with an additional 557 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 526 recovered cases.

No province has reported any new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 36,844,653.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 2.19 percent", he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 393,404 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 80,408,744 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 45,853,033 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was followed by 864,324 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
