COVID-19 Update As Of September 20: New Cases 1,932, Active Cases 55,936

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 202,795 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 1,932 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,192,695 people and active cases are 55,936", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, September 20.

Today's recovered cases increased by 6,799 cases, bringing the total to 3,996,125 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 166 people and the total was 140,634 people.

The province with the newest cases was in Central Java with 332 cases and a total of 479,634 cases. Followed by East Java which has 142 new cases with a total of 393,349 cases. Furthermore, Riau with 140 new cases and a total of 127,016 cases.

Then, North Sumatra has 123 new cases and a total of 103,404 cases. The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Java with an additional 1,925 recovered cases.

Followed by West Java with an increase of 452 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 409 recovered cases and DKI Jakarta with an additional 409 recovered cases.

No province has reported any new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 36,595,996.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 2.19 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 346,285 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, 79,657,762 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 45,224,650 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 856,589. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia was 208,265,720 people.
