PATI - The Pati Resort Police, Central Java, together with the Civil Service Police Unit have arrested 102 karaoke guides and visitors during a judicial operation. Six of the karaoke guides tested positive for COVID-19.

"The judicial operation with the Pati Police took place on Thursday, September 16 in the morning with the location of the activities in Juwana District and Pati District", said Pati Regent Haryanto, quoted by Antara, Friday, September 17.

A total of 102 visitors and karaoke guides who were caught by surgery, he said, were secured at the Pati Police Sabhara Unit for an antigen swab test. As a result, as many as six people who were karaoke guides tested positive for COVID-19.

Then, said Haryanto, the six people were immediately taken to the Soewondo Pati Hospital to be isolated and followed by a PCR swab test.

The Regent regretted the incident, because in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Instruction of the Regent of Pati regarding the prohibition of entertainment, especially karaoke.

In fact, there are still five karaoke places that are desperate to open, namely Karaoke Alaska, Maharani, Diva, Dewa 9, and Romantika which are desperate to open during joint operations on Thursday, September 16 night.

"We appreciate the joint team who have always tried to break the chain of COVID-19 through judicial operations", he said.

The Regent reminded that even though the COVID-19 case is currently sloping, the public must remain vigilant and adhere to health protocols starting from wearing masks, washing hands with soap, maintaining distance and avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility as much as possible.

"If you are careless, Pati Regency, which implements PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions) Level 2, could even increase due to negligence. I have promised, both the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs and Instruction of the Governor has begun to provide leeway for activities but must comply with the health protocol", he also said.

The intended relaxation, face-to-face learning is limited and gradual, places of worship that were initially not allowed are now permitted with limited capacity. Likewise, residents who plan to get married, who were previously only allowed at the KUA (Religious Affairs office), are now allowed to stay at home with restrictions.

Several karaoke place visitors who were caught by operation will be re-examined, considering that there are indications that several people have been raided repeatedly. Even though several karaoke places had their electricity cut off, they were still desperate to operate.
