PSI Finds There Is A Broker Under The Guise Of A Service Bureau Offering To Handle Land Acquisition Letter For Ciliwung Normalization
JAKARTA - The PSI faction of the DKI DPRD found problems in the process of acquiring residential land in the Ciliwung River normalization program. They found a land broker under the guise of a service bureau in the land acquisition process.
The process of land acquisition for the normalization of Ciliwung has been carried out by the DKI Provincial Government since 2019 and has not yet been completely completed.
PSI faction member of DKI DPRD Justin Untayana received reports from residents that there were parties who spread information that land acquisition on TB Simatupang street, South Jakarta to Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta, was difficult if residents took care of themselves.
Until finally, the alleged land broker offered the residents to help with the paperwork needed for land acquisition by setting a fairly large commission.
“While conducting a recess in RW 3, Cawang Sub-district, East Jakarta, I received a report that there was a service bureau disseminating information that worried residents, namely that later land acquisition would be difficult if residents took care of the land acquisition documents themselves. Then the service bureau offered to help take care of the letters and asked for a commission of around 25 percent," Justin told reporters, Tuesday, September 14.

In fact, according to Justin, many residents are willing to sell their land and want to take care of land acquisition without the help of other parties.
Therefore, Justin asked the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government, especially at the village level to be more active in socializing and helping residents complete the required documents.
“The DKI Provincial Government and every related agency must actively direct and socialize residents to take care of land acquisition documents themselves. If not, then the DKI Provincial Government is tantamount to deliberately giving space for service bureaus to play and gain profits from the small people who will be evicted, "said Justin.
He continued, the DKI Provincial Government must also open a map of the land plot that will be acquired for river normalization. In addition, the DKI Provincial Government must also clarify the stages of land acquisition in advance, so that residents can prepare themselves.
“The money for land compensation is needed by residents to move houses and start living in a new place later. Therefore, I ask the SDA and village offices to actively encourage residents to take care of their own land acquisition documents, so that they will receive compensation money in full, not deducted by parties suspected of being land brokers under the guise of a service bureau,” he concluded.
