One Stop Service Is The Government's Mainstay To Drive Efficiency And Business Improvement
JAKARTA - The government through the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said that one of the big challenges to boost the economy is how to increase efficiency and productivity.
According to her, the efficiency of an economy will be largely determined by the ability of stakeholders to create easy, simple, timely, and competitive bureaucratic services. For this reason, the Minister of Finance views that the one-stop integrated policy (Indonesia National Single Window/INSW) is very important to be implemented as optimally as possible.
"The government and supporting authorities for all business actors need to continue to collaborate in creating a system that serves the needs of the business world and society in a transparent, competitive, innovative, and productive manner", she said at the Virtual Opening of INSW 2021 Week, Monday, September 13.
The Minister of Finance added that synergy and collaboration between Ministries/Institutions is also a major factor in creating efficiency in an economy. She said this is a challenge that is not easy for an economy as big as Indonesia.
"Therefore, the government as a policymaker continues to strive to improve governance, improve the system so that it is more integrated, create a collaborative synergy which in the end can provide relief for the community and the business world so that they do not have to carry out various kinds of repetitive procedures", she said.
Furthermore, the state treasurer revealed that INSW was also the mandate of the 2003 Bali Concord II to form an ASEAN Economic Community by implementing a national single window in each of its member countries.

Through NSW, it is hoped that intra-ASEAN trade integration will be more smoothly and integrated and bring benefits to all countries.
To note, the Indonesia National Single Window (INSW) was launched nationally on January 29, 2009. According to the Minister of Finance, INSW is believed to be able to answer the challenge of integrating national data and thus enable the government to make the right decisions.
"The Indonesia National Single Window, which was originally a single document submission portal, especially for export-import licensing documents, has now developed into a system that encourages improvements in service governance and government policies in the fields of export-import and logistics and trade", she said.
"INSW not only connects business processes from various Ministries/Agencies and supporting authorities, but also connects various hopes for change that are currently scattered among various groups and parties”, concluded Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
