Zulkifli Hasan Is Considered Not Prominent, This Figure Is Considered More Suitable If Jokowi Chooses A Minister From PAN
JAKARTA - Political communication observer from Esa Unggul University, Jamiluddin Ritonga, believes that there is no need for a cabinet reshuffle soon.
This was said by Jamiluddin in response to the news that President Joko Widodo would make a cabinet reshuffle at the latest in early October.
According to Jamiluddin, the cabinet reshuffle does not need to be rushed if it only aims to accommodate the Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN), which has just joined the government coalition.
Because, according to him, PAN Chairman, Zulkifli Hasan, does not have extraordinary advantages to replace ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
"If it only accommodates and the accommodation is Zulkifli Hasan, we know that when he was minister of forestry he was also ordinary, had no outstanding achievements", Jamiluddin said when contacted by VOI, Sunday, September 12.
However, he continued, if President Joko Widodo chooses another PAN cadre who has the economic capability, then the choice is better than making Zulkifli Hasan a minister.
"If you take from PAN, there are many good economists. Well, if that's what he did to replace several cabinet members from the economy, that's good", said Jamiluddin.

On the other hand, if it continues to accommodate Zulhas, then Jokowi's cabinet will remain at the usual level.
"But if Zulkifli Hasan is withdrawn, it's only to accommodate PAN representatives, it means that it's a normal thing", said Jamiluddin.
Regarding who is more appropriate and suitable to be the Minister of PAN than Zulhas, Jamiluddin mentioned the name Didik J. Rachbini. He is a senior economist and rector of Paramadina University.
"Rachbini from PAN, people already know he is a great economist. If that's what comes in, I'm optimistic about this cabinet. But if Zulhas is very sorry, his advantage is only the general chairman and that's his challenge," he said.
