The Majalengka Regional Secretariat's Official House Is Burglarized, The Estimated Loss Reaches IDR 7.5 Million

MAJALENGKA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Majalengka Police, West Java, arrested the perpetrators of the theft at the old official house of the Regional Secretary Majalengka on Tuesday, September 7.

"We arrested suspect S (36) while in Indramayu Regency", said Majalengka Police, Chief AKBP Edwin Affandi, in Majalengka, Antara, Thursday, September 9.

The perpetrator entered the house at around 02.27 WIB by climbing the right sidewall. The house is not guarded and the occupants are sleeping.

Inside the house, the perpetrators stole various valuables with an estimated loss of more than IDR 7.5 million.

"This suspect stole two cell phones belonging to the occupants of the house," said the police chief.

On Wednesday, at around 13.00 WIB, the police received information that the perpetrator was in Indramayu Regency, precisely around Bondan Village Square, Sukagumiwang District.

Subsequently, the police made arrests of the perpetrators without a fight. After further investigation, said the Chief of Police, it turned out that the perpetrator was a recidivist with the same case.

"This suspect has committed theft in three different locations in Majalengka", he said.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 7 years in prison.
