Alleged Sexual Harassment At KPI, Lawyers Will Report Netizens Who Spoil Their Clients' Privacy To Social Media
JAKARTA - The polemic in the case of alleged sexual harassment and bullying experienced by employees of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) is heating up. The investigation process on MS's report on the five reported people has not yet been completed, but now the reported parties do not accept that they have become the subject of bullying by netizens in cyberspace.
They also plan to criminalize several netizen accounts that have spread personal data and perpetrated bullying.
Tegar Putuhena, the attorney for the alleged perpetrators of RT and EO, admitted that he had discussed with the attorneys of the other alleged perpetrators' plan.
"Yes, now each reported person is accompanied by a different attorney, but we have also considered that we will consult, form a team, and think about who we will report to", Tegar said when contacted by reporters, Tuesday, September 7.
Tegar emphasized that cyberbullying by netizens was very detrimental to his clients. In fact, the bullying did not only target his clients, but also his family, starting from his wife and children.

"What is certain is that whoever, we will study all the criminal elements, for example, first revealing personal identity without rights is a violation of the ITE Law. Then from there, it is disseminated, then cyberbullying occurs against families, we will also consider sharing family photos", he said.
In addition to criminalizing several netizens, Tegar also confirmed that his client plans to report back to MS, the KPI employee who is the reporter and the alleged victim in this sexual harassment case.
Because the bullying experienced by his client was caused by the accusations made by MS in his release.
"As a result of the release, and the personal identity of our clients was spread, cyberbullying occurred", said Tegar.
Tegar also emphasized that until now there is no evidence that his client has committed sexual harassment as alleged.
