Mayor Of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi Receives Assistance With Basic Food Packages And Medical Devices From Mayapada Healthcare Group

SURABAYA - Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi stated that the economic movement in the City of Heroes, East Java, during the current COVID-19 pandemic requires support from many parties.

"When this economic movement is running, we need support from all stakeholders in Surabaya", said Mayor Eri Cahyadi when receiving assistance from Mayapada Healthcare Group Director, Charlie Salim, at Surabaya City Hall, quoted by Antara, Friday, September 3.

According to Eri Cahyadi, even though Surabaya has a yellow zone status, his party will continue to work hard so that Surabaya will soon become a green zone or be free of COVID-19. He hopes that life in Surabaya will return to normal and the economy will run smoothly.

There is also humanitarian assistance for handling COVID-19 in Kota Pahlawan (Surabaya) from Mayapada Group in the form of 5,000 food packages and 10 units of breathing apparatus.

Mayor Eri Cahyadi ensured that his party immediately distributed the assistance to residents who were entitled to receive or to residents who had not received social assistance in any form from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Eri Cahyadi always conveys that Surabaya continues to move with its cooperation. Surabaya continues to move with a sense of shoulder to shoulder. For him, it is with the cooperation that COVID-19 cases continue to decline and make Surabaya a yellow zone.

Meanwhile, Director of Mayapada Healthcare Group, Charlie Salim said, although Mayapada Group Founder Dato' Sri Prof. DR. Tahir, MBA, currently resides in Jakarta, the City of Surabaya is always in his heart. This is the reason why Mayapada Group always assists the residents of Surabaya.

"Mr. Tahir is also from Surabaya, but even though he is now in Jakarta, Surabaya is still in his deepest heart. So he really cares about Surabaya. And on the one hand, he decided that we must fully support the people of Surabaya", said Charlie Salim.

Charlie Salim said Mayapada Group has assisted residents several times through the Surabaya City Government. Even in the future, he said, his party will continue to assist the Surabaya City Government.

Not only distributing basic food packages through the Surabaya City Government. Even earlier, Charlie Salim admitted that his party had distributed 1,000 food packages for residents through the Surabaya Police Station.

"Then, 1,000 food packages each through the Surabaya Inter-Church Consultative Body (BAMAG) and the Surabaya Diocese. Also, 2,000 food packages through the East Java Regional Police and 1,000 food packages through the Al-Akbar National Mosque in Surabaya", he said.
