PDIP Lobbys DRD Members From Other Factions To Participate In Anies' Interpellation, Gerindra Believes Nobody Wants To
JAKARTA - Member of the Gerindra faction of the DKI Regional House of Representatives, Syarif, believes that no other faction member will be affected by the PDIP and PSI lobbies to participate in the Interpellation of Formula E.
Syarif acknowledged that interpellation is an inherent right of every Regional House of Representatives member. However, Syarif said that members, even though they have individual rights, will still comply with their party's decisions.
Later, seven faction leaders apart from PDIP and PSI agreed to refuse to participate in the interview the day after being invited to dinner at the official residence of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.
"I still have faith, because our faction is an extension of the party. If we lobby, it goes to the leadership of the party, not to the members. Obviously, it can't be denied that the interpellation is actually stronger because of the politics", Syarif told reporters on Friday, September 3rd.
Syarif also guaranteed that all members of the Gerindra faction would not dispute their faction's decision to participate in the interpellation of Anies.
"Gerindra is unanimous in rejecting it because this is in line with the party's orders. If a member is lobbied, the answer is 'you should report it to the party leadership first'," said Syarif.
Previously, the chairman of the PDIP faction, Gembong Warsono, hoped that other factions would change their minds to participate in the interpellation. Because PDIP has disclosed simulation data that the implementation of Formula E from start to finish will waste a budget of IDR 4.483 trillion.
"Hopefully this will be able to influence all members of the 7 factions. We hope so because we are rationalizing, why is PDIP so insistent on using the right of interpellation or the right to ask questions", said Gembong, Tuesday, August 31.
Yesterday, Gembong admitted that he was still convinced that there would be other Regional House of Representatives members who would participate in the interview. "God willing, the time will come. God willing", said Gembong on Thursday, September 2.

It is known that seven factions other than PDIP and PSI in the Regional House of Representatives said they disagreed with the proposed Interpellation Rights Formula E. Thus, only 33 DRPD members from PDIP and PSI submitted the proposal.
The Regional House of Representatives will still hold a plenary meeting to determine whether the interpellation can be held. For the interpellation to take place, the Regional House of Representatives members present at the plenary meeting must meet a quorum of 50 percent + 1 or as many as 54 Regional House of Representatives members. Therefore, PDIP and PSI lobbied Regional House of Representatives members from other factions to participate in plenary meetings.
