Luhut: Total Communities Screened Through PeduliLindungi App Reaches 13.6 Million
JAKARTA - The Coordinator for the Implementation of the Java-Bali Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, said that a total of 13.6 million people were screened using the PeduliLindungi application.

Of the total 13.6 million people, said Luhut, 462,000 people are in the red category, not allowed to enter or carry out activities by the system.
Luhut said the system and mechanism for using the PeduliLindung application screening were very important to suppress the rate of addition of COVID-19 cases at a time when community mobility was high.
"The implementation of disciplined health protocols based on the PeduliLindung digital platform is key if we do not want to repeat the difficult times in early July when the increase in cases rose so high, the capacity of the health system was at a threshold, and we must implement an emergency PPKM policy that has It has a huge economic impact", he said.
The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment also said that the government would make changes to the color category for Care for Protect this week. He said a black category would be added for people identified as positive for COVID-19 or in close contact.
