Sad News From Babylon, COVID-19 Patients Who Died Reached 1,211 People
JAKARTA - The Bangka Belitung Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force stated that another 15 COVID-19 patients who died had increased, bringing the total number to 1,211 people.
"On average, COVID-19 patients who die have congenital diseases such as heart, lung, diabetes, hypertension, and others", said Secretary of the Babel Islands Province's COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Mikron Antariksa in Pangkalpinang, as reported by Antara, Monday, August 30.
He explained that based on the latest data on Sunday, August 29 night, as many as 15 COVID-19 patients died spread across Bangka 4, Belitung 4, West Bangka 2, Central Bangka 2, South Bangka 1, and East Belitung 2 people.
Cases of people exposed to COVID-19 also increased by 230 with a cumulative 46,600 people spread across Bangka 50, Pangkalpinang 36, Central Bangka 45, South Bangka 17, West Bangka 33, Belitung 32, and East Bangka 17 people.

Likewise, patients who recovered from COVID-19 also experienced an increase of 319 with a cumulative 41,182 people spread across Pangkalpinang 80, Bangka 68, Central Bangka 50, West Bangka 24, Belitung 47, and East Bangka 50 people.
"Alhamdulillah, in the past week, the addition of recovered patients is higher than the new cases of COVID-19, so that it can reduce the number of cases of transmission and death due to this Coronavirus", he said.
According to him, in suppressing this death case, his party also ensures the availability of oxygen by lowering the Oxygen Task Force, accelerating the distribution of free drugs and supplements for positive patients, increasing tracing and testing capacity by lowering the Tracing and Tracking Task Force.
"There is a need for the participation of the entire community to protect themselves, their families, and the surrounding environment by strengthening and tightening the application of health protocols and carrying out massive vaccinations by lowering the Vaccine Task Force", said Mikron Antariksa.
