State-Owned Construction Company, PTPP, Wins Five MURI Award Certificates

JAKARTA - The state-owned construction company, PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) celebrates its 68th anniversary which falls on August 26, 2021, with the theme "Agility in Harmony". This theme is a manifestation of PTPP as one of the best contractor companies in Indonesia.

In order to welcome its anniversary, PTPP held the 68th anniversary peak event which was held for the second time virtually. All PTPP personnel participated in and witnessed the peak of the anniversary celebration event through a virtual application provided by the organizing committee.

In addition to the celebration of the peak event that took place today, previously PTPP had carried out several company activities as a series of events for the 68th anniversary.

The activities that have been organized by the company include distributing food packages to workers and communities around the company, blood donation, convalescent plasma donors, giving COVID-19 vaccinations to employees' families and the surrounding community, inauguration of employee health services named "First Aid Station", PP Awards, PP Idol, CEO Talks, webinars, and so on.

In the celebration of the 68th anniversary of PTPP, several Ministries and Directors of SOEs participated in congratulating them as a form of friendship and synergy that must be maintained with each other.

In addition, in the virtual event, PTPP also invited seniors and former officials who had served in the company and remained part of the PTPP extended family. This is done to maintain ties of friendship, intimacy, and increase a sense of kinship within the PTPP extended family.

"On the company's 68th anniversary, we have achieved many great achievements. PTPP has built many historical and monumental works in Indonesia, for example, the first hotel in Indonesia, namely Hotel Indonesia, then the first cable-stayed bridge in Indonesia, namely the Barelang Bridge which has become the icon of the city of Batam, Yogyakarta International Airport as the airport with the fastest development, Kalibaru Container Terminal as the port with the largest capacity in Indonesia, and a series of other prestigious works," said PTPP President Director Novel Arsyad in a written statement, Saturday, August 28.

"Until now, there have been 1424 innovations, 129 technologies, and 11 innovations that have been successfully patented by PP personnel. This year, 1100 other PTPP ideas and works complement the company's legacy," added Novel Arsyad.

Award

Coinciding with the celebration of the peak of the anniversary, PTPP received five awards from the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) from the implementation of the construction of three projects, namely the Yogyakarta International Airport Project in the Special Region of Yogyakarta which won one category of MURI Award Charter in the category of First Airport to Receive a Certificate Greenship.

Furthermore, the Kitawaya Building Renovation Project became a reference point for handling COVID-19 in North Sulawesi Province, which won a MURI Award Charter category in the category of Converting a Multipurpose Building into the Fastest COVID-19 Hospital.

The third project, namely the Main Venue Renovation Project and the U-20 World Cup Training Field in Bali Province which won three MURI Award Charters in the category of Planting Zoysia Matrella Grass on a Football Field Simultaneously in the Most Locations in 1 Province, the First Stadium with 2400 Lux Illumination Using High Lighting Lamp with Single Pole High Mast 48 m High, and Fastest 5000 Seat Installation in Stadium Tribune.

In addition to receiving an award from MURI, in the peak event, PTPP also gave a certificate of appreciation to employees who have reached a certain period of service and who have worked continuously and seriously, are loyal, and have good behavior.

The award, named Lencana Satya Jasa Year 2021, was given to eight employees for the Class I (Gold) award and three employees for the Class II (Silver) award.
