The Thief Of 10 Cellphones And 3 Kg Gas Cylinders In Temanggung Arrested
TEMANGGUNG - The Temanggung Police Team, Central Java, arrested two suspects for stealing 10 cellphones at the Mekar National Capital Office (PNM) Kedu Branch, Temanggung Regency.
The Temanggung Police Chief, AKBP Burhanuddin, said on Friday, August 27 that the two suspects in the theft case had the initials AP (30) and BD (43).
The suspect AP committed the theft by climbing over the wall behind the PNM office, then descending and prying open the back door of the office using a crowbar.
After the door opened, the suspect AP entered, then took 10 cell phones in a brown cardboard box in the backroom of the office.
Next, the suspect AP went to the kitchen and took a green 3-kilogram gas cylinder.
The Temanggung Police Chief said the suspect then took the stolen cell phone to Yogyakarta. He asked his brother-in-law BD's help to sell the stolen goods.
After the cellular phones were sold, BD handed over IDR 5 million from the sale to AP. From the sale of the stolen goods, BD received a reward of IDR 1 million from AP.
The police confiscated several pieces of evidence from the suspect's hands, including five cell phones, a gas cylinder, and a motorcycle.

The two suspects were threatened with Article 363 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code and Article 480 of the Criminal Code.
The suspect, AP, admitted that he was desperate to commit theft because he was desperate for economic needs. The problem is, during this pandemic his income is never erratic.
"The need to continue while the results are not necessarily there, I was forced to do this", he said, quoted by Antara.
