Sri Mulyani Renames BLBI Assets Confiscated By The State: So That They Are No Longer Used
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani ensured that the government would immediately process documents for the assets of the obligor or debtor of the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) confiscated by the state in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations.
"The assets will be transferred to the name of the state, therefore later the certificate must be replaced and renamed," she said during a press conference for the Ex-BLBI Asset Control Ceremony by the Task Force (Satgas) together with Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD in Karawaci, Friday, August 27.
According to the Minister of Finance, this effort is an anticipatory step by the government to prevent things that are not desirable.
"This is intended so that it is no longer used by parties who are not entitled to these assets," she said.
Minister of Finance Added, to realize this she admitted that she had built incentive cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR).
"We are also assisted by the Ministry of ATR and I am grateful for the extraordinary assistance provided by various parties," she said.

In a press statement, the state treasurer said that since today the government has legally controlled 49 plots of land located in four locations with an area of 5,291,200 square meters.
"The location is in Medan, Pekanbaru, Bogor, and today we are physically present in Karawaci, Tangerang," she continued.
Specifically for confiscated assets in Karawaci, the Minister of Finance explained that the BLBI Task Force (Satgas) succeeded in taking over 25 hectares of land with an estimated value of Rp1.33 trillion.
“This asset is already owned by the Indonesian government. This asset is planned to be further managed by the state such as use, utilization, grants, and other forms of management," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
