The National Police Affirms That The South Sumatran Police Chief Is Not Removing, Only Career Development
JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the transfer of Inspector General Eko Indra Heri from the South Sumatra Police Chief to the Expert Staff Coordinator (Koorsahli) was not a removal. The mutation is referred to as promotion and career coaching.
"This is part of career development, and the person concerned (Inspector General Eko Indra Heri) has a position as coordinator of the expert staff of the National Police Chief", said Head of Public Information Bureau of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono to reporters, Thursday, August 26.
In addition, said Rusdi, Expert Staff Coordinator is an important position in the Police institution. Therefore, Rusdi emphasized that there was no demotion for Inspector General Eko.
"This is the South Sumatra Police Chief, (Irjen) Mr. Eko has once again received the position of coordinator of expert staff, and it is an important position at Police Headquarters", said Rusdi.
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo replaces Inspector General Eko Indra Heri from the position of South Sumatra Police Chief. The replacement of Inspector General Eko occurred shortly after the case of fraudulent donations from Akidi Tio's child worth IDR 2 trillion.
The removal was stated in the secret telegram (STR) number ST/1701/VIII/KEP2021.

Responding to the mutation, he was grateful for the decision by the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
