Jokowi Inaugurates Sahbirin Noor And Muhidin As Governor And Deputy Governor Of South Kalimantan
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo inaugurated Sahbirin Noor and Muhidin as Governor and Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) for the period 2021-2024 at the State Palace.
The inauguration began with the singing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya. After that, the reading of the decision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the ratification of the appointment of the Governor and Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan for the term of 2021-2024 by the Deputy for Administrative Affairs of the Ministry of State Secretariat.
Furthermore, Sahbirin Noor and Muhidin read the oath of office as regional heads guided by Jokowi.
"By Allah, I swear that I will fulfill my obligations as governor, as deputy governor in the best possible way and fairly, uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible, and serve the people of Indonesia. and the nation", said Sahbirin and Muhidin, viewed on the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube channel, Wednesday, August 25.

Previously, the General Election Commission (KPU) of South Kalimantan determined the pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor serial number 01 H Sahbirin Noor and H Muhidin (BirinMU) to be elected in the 2020 South Kalimantan Regional Election (Pilkada).
The determination of the selected pair for the South Kalimantan Regional Election after the re-voting (PSU) of the results of the Constitutional Court (MK) decision was stated in a plenary meeting held by the South Kalimantan KPU at the Golden Tulip Hotel Banjarmasin, Wednesday.
"Today, we legally determine the pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor serial number 01, H Sahbirin Noor and H Muhidin to be elected in the 2020 South Kalimantan elections", said South Kalimantan KPU chairman Sarmuji after the plenary meeting.
