Jokowi: Today The 9.3 Kilometer Pulo Gebang-Kelapa Gading Toll Road Has Been Completed And Can Be Used By Public
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) hopes that the inauguration of the 9.3 kilometer Pulo Gebang-Kelapa Gading Toll Road can bring a number of positive impacts and can be utilized optimally by the community.
"This morning the 9.3-kilometer Pulo Gebang-Kelapa Gading Toll Road has been completed and can be used by the public," Jokowi said in a press conference broadcast online on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Monday, August 23.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta said that the Pulo Gebang-Kelapa Gading Toll Road is a complement to the metropolitan toll road in the Jabodetabek area. In addition, the toll road is part of the Jakarta Inner Ring Road and Jakarta Outer Ring Road or JORR.
So, Jokowi hopes that the toll road can speed up logistics distribution. Moreover, the toll road is related to special economic zones such as Marunda and Tanjung Priok Toll Road.
"We hope that with the completion of the 9.3 KM Pulo Gebang-Kelapa Gading Toll Road, the speed of logistics distribution will improve, the competitiveness of our commodities will also improve," he said.

Furthermore, Jokowi hopes that the construction of this toll road can be imitated on other roads because the funding for its construction is carried out in an integrated manner between the ministry and State-Owned Company (BUMN), as well as BUMN and the private sector. "So, (this case, ed) accelerate the toll road projects that we have planned," he said.
Similar funding, he continued, is also expected to be carried out during the development of other infrastructure so that it can be evenly distributed and reduce inequality.
"I hope that financing schemes like this can be used in infrastructure development in all provinces, in all corners of the country. So that they will be able to overcome regional disparities between provinces in infrastructure development and accelerate our connectivity," he concluded.
