Wearing Payas Agung Bali, Puan Maharani Admits She Doesn't Use Designers
JAKARTA - House of Representatives Speaker, Puan Maharani, wears the traditional Payas Agung Bali dress while attending the 2021 MPR Annual Session and Joint Session of the DPR and DPD in the Plenary Meeting Room, Nusantara MPR/DPR/DPD Building, Monday, August 16, morning.
According to her, there is no special reason why she chose the traditional clothes of the area. It's just that she said, Indonesia has a lot of diversity, including traditional clothes.
"Because Indonesia is diverse, has diversity, has various regional clothes, and just coincidentally wore Balinese clothes today, last year wore other clothes, next year wears other clothes. changing their regional clothes", said Puan at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, August 16.
Puan admitted that there was no special designer to make clothes for her. He just likes to wear a white Balinese kebaya complete with the gold patterned cloth.
"There are no designers, these are my own clothes. I chose the fabric, I like the Balinese cloth", she said.

Puan also chaired the Plenary Meeting for the Opening of the First Trial Period for the 2021-2022 Session Year. She was grateful that in the midst of the pandemic and the implementation of PPKM level 4, the joint session of the Indonesia DPR-DPD to the DPR plenary went well despite strict health protocols.
