Involved In School Bullying Case, Soojin Leaves (G)I-DLE

JAKARTA - Soojin left the K-pop group (G)I-DLE on Saturday, August 14. CUBE Entertainment as the agency shared the news.

“(G)I-DLE will be promoting as five members. We will do our best and provide support so that (G)I-DLE can showcase their progress in the music world", CUBE said, quoted by Soompi, August 16.

The agency did not mention the reason for Soojin's departure. However, they apologized for any controversy related to the artist.

This is the latest news since Soojin was rumored to be a bully during school. This news first surfaced in February where someone wrote about their experience of being a victim of Soojin's bullying.

Although Soojin and CUBE denied the claims, there were many others who appeared and shared similar experiences. Soojin also explained all the chronology from her side, including the conflict with actress Seo Shin Ae.

Since then, CUBE has also announced that Soojin will stop all activities while the bullying case is still ongoing. They also took this case to court.

In her statement on March 19, Soojin said, "If it turns out that I did something wrong, of course, I will accept the punishment given and leave the group".

Soojin is also not heard in (G)I-DLE's new song, Last Dance which is a collaboration with the UNIVERSE application.
