Mangkunegara IX Funeral Procession Performed Traditionally, Mourners Asked To Obey Health Protocols
SOLO - The funeral process for King Mangkunegaran Solo, Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya (KGPAA) Mangkunegara IX who died Friday 13 will be buried on Sunday 15 August at the cemetery of the kings of Astana Girilayu, Matesih, Karang Anyar. The procession of releasing the bodies were carried out in Javanese custom at the Mangkunegaran palace this morning.
Mourners are advised to adhere to health protocols, wear masks, do not shake hands with one another, and do not gather in groups. This was the announcement made by the protocol of the Mangkunegara Palace when the guests had started arriving.
Incessantly, guests and mourners came to express their condolences and prayers for Kanjeng Sinuhun Mangkunegara IX, who would be buried after his traditional release.
Until this news was made the mourners were still coming to the location of the release of the body. Meanwhile, the protocol of the Mangkunegaran palace has been on standby since this morning to hold a procession for the release of the body.
