Announcement! Requirements For Taking The MRT Still Use Worker Registration Certificate

JAKARTA - PT Moda Raya Terpada or MRT Jakarta is still using a Worker Registration Certificate (STRP) as a travel requirement. This is because the MRT management is currently still in transition to implement a new policy, which will require passengers to show a certificate of at least the first dose of vaccine.

"Currently it is still STRP. This is still a transitional phase. While running with a vaccine certificate as well", said Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT MRT Jakarta, Ahmad Pratom, to reporters, quoted on Sunday, August 15.

Previously, through the Instagram @mrtjakarta social media account, PT MRT Jakarta announced that it would remove the STRP as a travel requirement for prospective passengers and replace it with a vaccination certificate.

Vaccination certificates can be in the form of physical or printed versions or online certificates through the PeduliLindung application. The conditions for this trip are by the Decree of the Head of the Transportation Service No. 321 of 2021.

In addition, passengers who have not been vaccinated can also take the MRT by showing proof of registration and will vaccinate the officers at the station.

However, there are exceptions to the application of vaccine certificate requirements for several categories of prospective passengers as follows:

First, passengers who are still within a three-month grace period after being confirmed positive for COVID-19 with evidence of laboratory results.

Second, passengers who are contraindicated are vaccinated against COVID-19 based on the results of a medical examination/doctor's certificate.

Third, passenger children aged less than 12 years.

PT MRT Jakarta President Director William Sabandar said the number of 4,450 was far from the normal target of 40,000 daily passengers for MRT Jakarta.

Furthermore, William said the decline in the number of passengers was due to several new policies such as the closure of several stations, changes in operating hours, and the use of STRP for essential and critical workers.
