Secretary General Of Gelora, Mahfudz Siddiq: Someone Wants To Make The TWK KPK Polemic A Big Stage
JAKARTA - The Secretary-General of the Indonesian Gelora Party, Mahfudz Siddiq, said that someone wanted to make a polemic on the national insight test (TWK) for KPK employees on a big and long stage.
"I see from a political perspective, this is like a small stage. Because this is a small matter. I read that this stage wants to be crowded. On that stage there are pros and cons, they don't really care," said Mahfudz, quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 14.
According to him, in the big stage, the goal is not to return to the KPK.
"They want this stage to be crowded and long. The end is until 2024," he said.
Mahfudz said that on May 27, 2021, when he brought the case to Komnas HAM, one of the KPK employees said that this issue would be resolved if the President was pro-corruption.
"So, the point is that this stage will be made long, people are invited to crowded, so that one of the contestation issues in 2024 is which one is pro-corruption or not pro-corruption," said Mahfudz.
Meanwhile, Moya Institute Executive Director Hery Sucipto assessed that the TWK problem was almost finished when 51 KPK employees were removed from the ASN status transfer and some of them graduated.
"It turns out that the polemic did not end there after the Ombudsman's findings, in which the result was maladministration and the recommendation asked that there be corrections to 51 KPK employees who did not pass to be appointed," he added.

In addition, continued Hery, they asked the President to intervene. As a legal layman, he admits that he listens more.
However, if he asked President Jokowi to intervene directly, Hery considered it excessive because the process was already underway.
The big interest is the creation of law enforcement that is capable, with integrity, independent, and can meet the expectations of the community where corruption is massively enforced, he said.
"In my opinion, if we are too late with this polemic, it will not be productive in the midst of our nation's efforts to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19," he said.
While the expert in state administrative law, Prof. Aidul Fitriciada understands if there is an assumption that the TWK KPK employee polemic is not a legal issue.
According to him, in reading this case, there are issues that are not merely legal.
"So for me, the solution is not only a matter of law anymore. But it is a matter of resolving inter-institutional relations. Including this TWK, what kind of resolution is this. This must really be completed with the third legal principle, namely finding the common good, the interests of the nation are prioritized and then not drains energy," said Aidul.
