Allegedly Violating Discipline On Heavy Level, Jepara Secretary Has Been Released From His Duty
JEPARA - The Regent of Jepara Dian Kristiandi has temporarily relieved Edy Sujatmiko from his position as regional secretary following allegations of serious disciplinary violations.
"According to the Decree (SK) of the Regent of Jepara, it is stated that the temporary release of duties as the Secretary of the Jepara Regency will be effective from August 9, 2021, until a decision is made from the results of the examination of the alleged violation of his discipline", said Head of the Jepara Regional Civil Service Agency, Ony Sulistijawan, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 10.
The Regent of Jepara Dian Kristiandi has reported allegations of serious disciplinary violations to the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) in June 2021.
Before the disciplinary violation was reported to KASN, he said, the Regent of Jepara had also made family efforts to resolve it, until it finally reached KASN.
Because there are allegations of serious violations, there needs to be a temporary release from his duties. The decision is also in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) number 53/2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline.
Based on article 27 paragraph (1), it is stated that in the context of a smooth examination, a civil servant who is suspected of having committed a disciplinary violation and is likely to be subject to a severe disciplinary punishment may be temporarily released from his/her duties by his/her immediate superior since the person concerned is examined.
Meanwhile, in paragraph (2), it is stated that the temporary release from his/her duties as referred to in paragraph (1) is valid until a disciplinary decision is made.
"Even though he was temporarily released from his duties, his employment rights are still accepted", he said.
While his daily duties as the Regional Secretary of Jepara, the Regent of Jepara appointed Assistant I of the Regional Secretariat of Jepara as the daily executor.

He explained that the temporary release from his duties was due to fears that there would be a conflict of interest during the examination. While the form of disciplinary violations committed is not his authority because it is still under examination by a team appointed by the Governor of Central Java.
