Anies Will Continue Flood Control Program This Month
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan will continue a number of flood control programs using the National Economic Recovery Program (PEN) scheme this month.
This is stated in the Governor's Instruction (Ingub) Number 49 of 2021 concerning the Settlement of Regional Priority Issues for 2021-2022 which was signed by Anies on August 5, 2021.
"The construction of PEN for flood control has begun, namely 9 polders, 4 naturalization reservoirs, 2 river/drainage arrangements with a target time of August 2021", Anies wrote in Ingub on Monday, August 9.
The 9 polders under construction are Kelapa Gading Polder, Pulomas Polder, Marunda Polder, Tipala Adyaksa Polder, Muara Angke Polder, Teluk Gong Polder, Mangga Dua Polder, Green Garden Polder, and Kamal Polder. The construction is targeted to be completed in one year.
"The construction of flood control through the PEN scheme has been completed with the operation of the polder in August 2022", said Anies.
Meanwhile, the four naturalized reservoirs in August 2022 are Brigif Reservoir, Lebak Bulus Reservoir, Pondok Ranggon Reservoir, and Wirajasa Reservoir. These four reservoirs are targeted for completion in October 2022.
In total, Anies has 28 issues that are the targets for the completion of regional priority issues for 2021-2022 which are included in the Ingub, including the problem of flooding.

In this Ingub, Anies ordered the Regional Secretary of DKI Marullah to carry out the resolution of priority issues in 2021-2022.
"Ensuring the completion of regional priority issues in 2021-2022, leading and controlling the settlement of regional priority issues in 2021-2022, empowering all assistants and regional apparatus as well as Regional-owned Enterprises (BUMD) and other regional potentials, and taking full responsibility for resolving regional priority issues in 2021-2022", he said.
