Anies Said The Effects Of The COVID-19 Pandemic Could Be Longer In Indonesia Than Developed Countries
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic would be longer for developing countries, including Indonesia.
Because this treatment depends on the financial capacity and the existing health system in this country. And this is different from being compared to developed countries.
"When dealing with a pandemic atmosphere, this is one of the important intersections of mankind worldwide. The effect will be longer, longer for developing countries like us (Indonesia) because of financial capacity, health system capacity, and others", said Anies in the Peluncuran dan Bincang Buku Negara Bangsa di Simpang Jalan, Saturday, August 7th.

In dealing with this pandemic, he continued, every country will always meet a crossroads. When faced with this, there will be a right or wrong choice.
Anies said, when a group chooses to prioritize common interests, the people, and the state, then the choice of crossroads is correct.
"But when the choice does not reflect that (the interests of the state and the community), then a problem arises", said Anies.
"So, we must seriously take lessons from the journey so far. If we meet an intersection, what should be used as a reference for making decisions", he said.
