JAKARTA - PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk posted a positive performance in the first semester of 2021. This was in line with the increase in revenue and soaring company profits in the first six months of this year.
In Ramayana's financial report, quoted Wednesday, August 4, the current year profit of the issuer codenamed RALS jumped 24.71 times to IDR 137.83 billion in the first semester of 2021. In the same period the previous year, Ramayana's profit for the year was only IDR 5.36. billion.
Ramayana also managed to reverse an operating loss in the first semester of 2020 of IDR 50.91 billion to an operating profit of IDR 122.65 billion in the first semester of 2021. Then Ramayana's gross profit was recorded at IDR 763.74 billion in the first semester of 2021, an increase compared to the same period the previous year amounted to IDR 613.73 billion.
Ramayana's total revenue in the first six months of this year also experienced a 16.50 percent jump to IDR 1.72 trillion, compared to IDR 1.47 trillion in the first half of 2020.
The company's revenue came from the sale of broken goods which dominated the company's sales of IDR 1.37 trillion, an increase from the same period in the previous year of IDR 1.23 trillion.
In addition, there were also consignment sales of IDR 1.36 trillion in the first semester of 2021, this figure also increased when compared to the first semester of 2020 of IDR 969.41 billion.

After deducting consignment sales expenses, the company generated sales commissions of IDR 346.71 billion in the first semester of 2021, which increased compared to the same period in the previous year of IDR 247.66 billion.
Meanwhile, RALS assets decreased from IDR 5.29 trillion at the close of 2020 to IDR 5.03 trillion in the first semester of 2021. The company's total equity also decreased from IDR 3.72 trillion at the end of 2020 to IDR 3.63 trillion in the first semester. 2021.
A decrease also occurred in RALS' total liabilities from IDR 1.57 trillion as of December 31, 2020, to IDR 1.40 trillion in the first six months of 2021.
