With Or Without Information From Jerinx SID, The Police Continue To Hold Cases Of Alleged Threats

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the Metro Jaya Police will conduct a case against the alleged threat of violence with reported I Gede Aryastina alias Jerinx. The case is still being held even though the Superman Is Dead (SID) drummer has not yet been investigated.

"We will hold an internal title later to be able to determine whether this meets the elements or cannot be investigated first, we will hold it first," said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus, to reporters on Monday, July 26.

In addition to determining whether there was a criminal offense, the case was held to consider whether or not information from Jerinx was necessary.

If investigators decide it is not necessary, then, a criminal offense will be considered in that case. On the other hand, if deemed necessary, Jerinx will be summoned to provide information.

"But if we still need his information, we can call him again. We'll see," said Yusri.

In the process of investigating this case, the investigative team has asked for information from the reporting party, namely Adam Deni. In addition, several witnesses from the reporting party have also been examined.

It should have been Jerinx's turn to be examined today or Monday, July 26. However, he was unable to attend due to health problems.

Meanwhile, this case began when Adam was considered the cause of the loss of Jerinx's Instagram account. Initially, Adam wrote a comment on the account.

He questioned the data regarding artists who were endorsed by COVID-19 to Jerinx. This is because the SID drummer often mentions that many artists have announced that they have contracted COVID-19 because they are endorsed.

Several times Jerinx replied to Adam's comment. But shortly thereafter, his Instagram account disappeared, on July 2nd. Until finally, Jerinx contacted Adam and accused him of the cause of it all.

Not accepting the threats and insults, Adam and his team of lawyers agreed to take the matter to court. Jerinx was also reported to the Metro Jaya Police, on Saturday, July 10.

Although Jerinx is said to have apologized and said his actions were carried away by emotions because his Instagram account was lost, Adam would still continue the case.

Jerinx was reported under Article 335 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 29 in conjunction with Article 45B of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2016 an amendment to Law of Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE.
