DENPASAR - Deputy Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Cok Ace) said the availability of oxygen in Bali is running low. Cok Aceh asked the central government to help.
Cok Ace explained that as the trend of COVID-19 cases increased, the Bali Provincial Government prioritized health facility services, both from drugs, health workers, and the availability of beds in hospitals.
"However, the current obstacle is the availability of oxygen which is running low. Therefore, the central government can assist Bali in fulfilling oxygen availability," said Cok Ace during a coordination meeting held by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Friday, 23 July.
In his presentation, Cok Ace explained that the Bali Provincial Government strengthened the socialization of the 3M, wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands.
"One example of this firmness can be seen from the collaboration between the Bali Provincial Government and the Bali Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in taking action against foreigners who do not respect 3M, where deportations have been carried out for foreigners who do not comply with 3M," he added.
The Deputy Governor of Bali said the rate of increase in corona cases was still high. The public has also been repeatedly reminded to comply with the procedures, including the emergency PPKM rules whose name has changed to PPKM level 4.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister Luhut said that in maximizing the 3M campaign, the function of command posts in villages and sub-districts must be increased.
According to him, there are still many people who do not understand or even ignore the importance of 3M. In addition, Luhut requested the involvement of religious figures in helping the government socialize the importance of 3M in preventing COVID-19.
"The more people who move, the more people will understand," he said.
