MONSTA X Taking Shownu To His Military Service

JAKARTA - MONSTA X's Shownu officially began his military service today, July 22. Previously he had announced to fans by letter earlier this month.

Shownu's agency, Starship also shared the news that Shownu will start training for three weeks before enlisting as a public service worker. This is because he has a retinal detachment in his left eye and a dislocated shoulder.

On the same day, Shownu uploaded a new photo featuring his new hair look. “Be careful and take care of your health and happiness. I love you", he captioned the photo.

The MONSTA X members were also seen escorting the leader to the training center. Through the group's social media, they shared photos together.

“I promise to see you again and come back healthy. I'll be more mature and come back with a better side. Thank you!" that's what the caption says.

Shownu became the first member to enlist in the military. He will complete his obligations in 2023.

MONSTA X themselves just released an album titled One of a Kind last June but Shownu was unable to participate in promotional activities.
