Experienced Investor Lo Kheng Hong Reveals Tricks To Buy 'Mercy' Stocks At 'Avanza' Prices: Frequently Read Warren Buffett's Books
JAKARTA - Seasoned investor Lo Kheng Hong revealed that there are still many stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange at low prices, even though the valuations are large. Now the man who is nicknamed Warren Buffet Indonesia actually sees this as an opportunity, which according to him is one of the principles in value investing.
"This means that when I get a Mercy for sale at the Avanza price, of course I will buy it, of course, it's a simple method," said Lo Kheng Hong in a talk show entitled Art of Value Investing, quoted Wednesday, July 21.
The Mercy incident is sold at the Avanza price, said Lo Kheng Hong, clearly cannot be found in the real world. However, this incident is still often found in the stock market. Then, said Lo, knowledge like this cannot be obtained instantly, and he experienced it himself before finally being able to apply the principle of value investing on an ongoing basis.
Lo Kheng Hong said that about 35 years ago he invested by buying IPO shares in the hope that after the company's listing the price would rise.
"The first time I bought stocks, my strategy was not value investing, but buying an IPO and then selling it when it was listed, and with no knowledge at all, I just went along with it," explained the man who is familiarly called Mr. Lo.

But over time, he continued to learn and find investing strategies through Warren Buffet's books. Until now, this reading habit has brought Mr. Lo to become a successful investor.
He explained that he had enjoyed reading at least the newspaper every morning for decades. In addition, he also often reads the financial statements of public companies so that according to him his knowledge of a company continues to grow.
In addition, he also regularly reads the corporate actions of companies available on the IDX website. Every night he always opens the IDX website to find out what the company is doing.
"After I read it, I have the knowledge that if a Mercy is sold at the price of an Avanza, I buy it, and I do that regularly," concluded one investor.
