When Will The KPK Summon DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan Regarding Allegations Of Corruption In The Land Procurement Of Munjul?
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to summon DKI Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, as a witness in the alleged corruption in land acquisition in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, Jakarta in 2019 which cost the state up to IDR 12.5 billion.
However, it is not known for sure when the summons will be because investigators are still investigating the case that ensnared the former Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory Cornelis.
"Currently, the process of investigating this case is still being carried out by collecting evidence, both statements from witnesses and other evidence", said KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri when contacted by VOI, Monday, July 19.
Even so, he made sure that anyone would be summoned without exception. Moreover, if they know about the alleged homicide by the suspects.
"Anyone who is suspected of knowing the series of events in the case so that it becomes clearer about the alleged actions of the suspect, in this case, will definitely be called as a witness", he said.
"Furthermore, regarding the party that we will call as the next witness to complete the need for proof of the case, further information will be given", added Ali.
The summons for Anies Baswedan was initially conveyed by the Chairman of the KPK, Firli Bahuri. Not only Anies, he said, the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, could also be summoned to clarify the rioting.
"Regarding the land acquisition program, of course, in the preparation of the DKI APBD (Regional Budget) budget program, the DKI Governor is very understanding as well as the DKI DPRD, which has the task of setting the RAPBD (Draft Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget) into an APBD with the DKI Regional Government, said Firli to reporters, Monday, July 12.
"So of course it is necessary to ask for information so that it becomes clear", he added.
Regarding the KPK's desire to summon Anies and Prasetio, a member of the PDIP faction of the DKI Regional House of Representatives, Gilbert Simanjuntak, admitted that his party supports them. Moreover, this is by the authority and duties of the anti-corruption commission.
"That's the authority and task of the KPK. According to the results of the KPK, so that it doesn't become an issue but there is a follow-up", Gilbert told VOI, Tuesday, July 13.
Similar support was also conveyed by the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Regional Leadership Council of PSI fraction, Michael Victor Sianipar. He considered that the KPK must thoroughly investigate the corruption case in land acquisition.
"This case must be immediately dismantled so that the KPK can immediately confiscate state losses and we can use the money for the emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Jakarta," Michael told reporters, Monday, July 12.
Michael said that the KPK should not hesitate to call officials involved or know about the land acquisition process in Munjul so that the corruption case can be revealed.
"Even if it is Governor Anies or members of the DPRD, all of them must be ready to be summoned and give information because the people are clearly harmed by this corruption", he said.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, defended Anies. He believes that Anies was not involved in the corrupt practices carried out by former Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory Pinontoan.

"As far as I know he is not involved. I don't know about the problem and I believe Mr. Anies is not involved in such cases," said Deputy Governor Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, July 14.
However, Deputy Governor Riza handed over the investigation into the corruption case for the Rumah Dp 0 program to the KPK. However, he reiterated that Anies was not involved.
"Everything is under the authority of law enforcement. But I am sure, Pak Anies is far from being involved in the affairs there in Jakarta", said Riza.
Four suspects
In this case, the KPK has named four suspects in this case, namely the Director and Deputy Director of PT Adonara Propertindo namely Tommy Adrian and Anja Runtuwene, former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya Yoory Corneles, and Director of PT Aldira Berkah Abadi Makmur (ABAM), Rudy Hartono Iskandar.
In addition, the KPK has also named PT Adonara Propertindo as a suspect in corporate corruption.
This case began when Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, which is a BUMD (Regionally-Owned Enterprises) in the property sector, was looking for land in the Jakarta area to be used as a business unit or land bank.
Furthermore, the Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya collaborated with PT Adonara Propertindo which is also engaged in the same field.
From this collaboration, on April 8, 2019, it was agreed to sign the Binding of the Sale and Purchase Agreement Deed before a notary which took place at the Perumda Sarana Jaya office. This signature was carried out between the buyers, namely Yoory and Anja Runtuwene.
At the same time, a payment of 50 percent or around IDR 108.9 billion was made to Anja's bank account at Bank DKI. Next, on Yoory's orders, the payment was made in the amount of IDR 43.5 billion.
However, in the land acquisition process, Perumda Sarana Jaya is suspected of committing fraudulent actions such as not conducting a study on the feasibility of the land object and not conducting an appraisal study without being supported by the completeness of the requirements according to the relevant regulations.
In addition, this BUMD company is also strongly suspected of carrying out the process and stages of land acquisition not according to procedures and some documents are prepared in a backdate, as well as an initial price agreement between Anja and Perumda Sarana Jaya before the negotiation process is carried out.
