BMKG Monitors 34 Hotspots In Riau
PEKANBARU - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Pekanbaru Station said there were 34 hot spots in Riau based on the latest data.
"A total of 34 hot spots are spread across seven areas in Riau, the most are in Pelalawan Regency, namely 10 points, Indragiri Hulu 8 points, and Indragiri Hilir 6 hotspots", said BMKG forecaster for Pekanbaru Station, Yasir Prayuna, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 19.
The next hot spots are in Rokan Hilir and Siak Regencies with 3 points each, Meranti Islands 2 points, and Rokan Hulu 1 point.
"In addition to Riau Province, there are also nine provinces in Sumatra that have hotspots with a total of 227 hotspots, namely 44 points from South Sumatra, 41 points from North Sumatra, 25 points from Lampung, and 24 points from West Sumatra", he said.
Then Bangka Belitung with 17 points, Jambi with 14 points, Aceh with 13 points, Bengkulu with 11 points and Riau Islands with 4 points.
"So the total hotspots in Sumatra today reached 227 hotspots", he said.
