Surakarta Police Distribute 5.5 Tons Of Rice To Affected Residents Of PPKM
SOLO - The Surakarta City Police distributed a total of 5.5 tons of rice assistance to residents affected by the emergency Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in Solo, Central Java.
The Head of Surakarta Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, said that the distribution of the rice aid was provided through the Bhayangkara Superintendent of Community Security and Order (Bhabinkamtibmas) to every citizen who needed a package of 5 kilograms of rice, in their respective areas in Solo City.
The police chief explained that the rice was a donation from the National Chinese New Year Committee as much as 1 ton and from the Servant of Allah as much as 4.5 tons so the total was 5.5 tons. The rice was intended for people affected by the pandemic during the Emergency PPKM period in the jurisdiction of the Surakarta Police.
The police chief reminded Bhabinkamtibmas personnel to distribute rice aid to people who are entitled to receive it.
Bhabinkamtibmas as a member who deals directly with the community, Police Chief believes that his personnel can distribute the rice aid according to the direction of the leadership.
"Please and immediately distribute the National Police rice aid to people in need in their respective work areas according to the data that has been reported. I hope this rice aid will be useful and can reduce the burden on the community", he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 19.
The police chief asked Bhabinkamtibmas personnel who deal directly with the community to continue to apply health protocols in carrying out their duties.

He reminded the public to comply with the government's advice during the Emergency PPKM period and for those who have not carried out vaccinations, immediately vaccinate for free at places prepared by the government.
People with vaccinations can help prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus in their environment, but residents still carry out health protocols every time they go out of the house.
"Observe the emergency PPKM and health protocols. Don't forget to vaccinate in places that have been prepared by the government. Insha Allah, vaccination can prevent transmission of the Coronavirus, but by continuing to follow health protocols", he said.
