Bank Muamalat Facilitates Free Vaccines For 3,500 Residents
JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk. held free COVID-19 vaccinations for employees, as well as the general public. The vaccination, which was held on 15-18 July 2021 at Kuningan City Mall, Jakarta, targets 3,500 participants.
President Director of Bank Muamalat, Achmad K. Permana, said the vaccination program was a form of the company's contribution to efforts to mitigate the impact of the pandemic. According to him, handling COVID-19 is not only the duty of the government but also the responsibility of all parties, including business actors.
"As we know that the number of daily cases is increasing day by day, so vaccination must be accelerated to immediately achieve herd immunity. Therefore, we took the initiative to hold free vaccinations that not only involve employees but also employees' families and the community around the company", he said in an official statement, Thursday, July 15.
Meanwhile, the age range of participants who can take part in the Bank Muamalat vaccination in children aged at least 12 years to the elderly. While the type of vaccine used is Sinovac.

In implementing the vaccination program, the oldest Islamic bank in Indonesia collaborates with several parties, including the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Karet Kuningan Village, and the community.
For information, currently, the government has succeeded in accelerating the rate of vaccine distribution to more than 1 million doses per day. Furthermore, the target set is 2 million doses per day and 3 million doses per day to achieve the goal of communal immunity by the end of this year.
"We are very enthusiastic to help the government suppress the rate of COVID-19 which is currently in an increasing trend", concluded Ahmad Permana.
