3 Foreign Citizens In Ubud Bali Violate Health Protocols, Get Fined IDR 1 Million
DENPASAR - Joint officers again found Foreign Citizens (WNA) who violated health protocols during the emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). There are three foreign citizens in Bali who were fined IDR 1 million each.
The three foreigners in Bali were caught not wearing masks during the Aman Nusa Agung II operation or the Justification Operation at the Simpang Empat Puri Ubud, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Wednesday, July 14.
The Director of Pam Obvit of the Bali Police, Kombes Harry Sindu Nugroho said that this health protocol disciplinary activity was carried out in accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 15 of 2021, Circular Letter of the Governor of Bali Number: 09 of 2021 in the New Era of Life Order.
There are 41 joint officers involved in this operation, with details of 30 National Police (Polri) personnel, 6 people from Civil service police (Satpol PP), and 5 people from Immigration carrying out disciplinary activities for health protocols and Emergency PPKM rules.
"In this activity, joint officers found three violators of the health protocol who were foreigners. So, according to the existing regulations, the officers were subject to a fine of IDR 1 million", said Nugroho, Thursday, July 15.
The joint team has taken action since July 11 with the result that 22 foreigners were subject to a fine of IDR 1 million. Meanwhile, 3 foreign citizens were recommended to be deported.

Then, on July 14, the crackdown was carried out in two places, namely in Canggu and Ubud by taking action against 7 foreign citizens who violated health procedures with a fine of IDR 1 million.
A total of 29 foreign violators have been prosecuted and 3 of them are recommended to be deported.
"In addition to implementing prokes enforcement, we also appeal to the public about the implementation of emergency PPKM, where the implementation of emergency PPKM is one of the government's policies in efforts to handle COVID-19, especially for the islands of Java and Bali. Emergency PPKM currently includes restrictions on more community activities tighter than what has been going on so far", said Nugroho.
