Starting Today: KRL, MRT, LRT And Transjakarta Require STRP For Passengers

JAKARTA - Today, all modes of mass transportation in the capital city require the possession of a worker registration certificate (STRP) for passengers who will enter the KRL (electric rail train) Commuter Line, MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), LRT (Light Rapid Transit), and Transjakarta bus stops.

STRP must be owned by workers in essential and critical sector companies who have to work outside the home during the Emergency PPKM period. STRP is registered by the company.

KRL

VP Corporate Secretary KAI Commuter Anne Purba said, starting today, prospective KRL users are required to show an STRP or other certificate issued by the local government, and/or a letter of assignment signed by the head of the agency, or the head of a company/office belonging to the essential and critical sector.

"There will be an inspection of the requirements for completeness of documents to ride the KRL which is carried out by the government, local regional officials, and related parties on access roads to the station or at the station entrance. Prospective users without the above requirements are not allowed to use the KRL," Anne said in her statement, quoted on Monday, July 11.

The operational service for the KRL trip during the PPKM period is still operating from 04.00 to 21.00 western Indonesia time only to serve users from the Essential and Critical sector workers according to government regulations, which make KRL as a means of transportation.

MRT

Acting Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Ahmad Pratomo said that MRT users are required to show STRP documents, a certificate from the local government, or a letter of assignment.

He said that the implementation of this policy is expected to be able to suppress the mobility of people to enter and exit Jakarta through public transportation during the PPKM period

This emergency is so as to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

"Later on, every officer at each station will check the document as a requirement that must be carried by passengers before traveling," said Pratomo.

LRT

LRT users are also required to show STRP, local government certificate, or assignment letter when entering the station. This is because the LRT only serves workers in essential and critical sectors.

"For those of you who don't have an STRP, you can access more information about the STRP through the website jakevo.jakarta.go.id or download the JAKI application," wrote a statement on the Instagram account @lrtjkt.

Transjakarta

All Transjakarta passengers are also required to show their STRP, local government certificate, or assignment letter. This is because Transjakarta operates only to serve workers in essential and critical sectors in accordance with the provisions of the relevant laws and regulations.

"Prospective customers without the above requirements are not allowed to use Transjakarta services," wrote a statement on the pt_transjakarta Instagram account.

STRP creation mechanism

The STRP application is only intended for essential and critical sector workers and can only be submitted collectively by companies or business entities engaged in essential and critical sectors.

Essential sector companies include communications and IT, finance and banking, capital markets, payment systems, COVID-19 quarantine non-handling hospitality, export-oriented industries.

Companies/business entities engaged in critical sectors consisting of energy, health, security, logistics and transportation, food, beverage and supporting industries, petrochemicals, cement, national vital objects, disaster management, national strategic projects, construction, basic utilities (electricity and water), industry to fulfill the basic needs of the community.

STRP can be made on the page http://jakevo.jakarta.go.id. First, the STRP applicant fills out the form and uploads the required conditions. Then, the file will be verified by UP PMPPTSP. The issuance of STRP is a maximum of 5 hours after the requirements are declared complete.

After that, the published STRP can be downloaded at http://jakevo.jakarta.go.id. When checking STRP in the field, just show the QR code via cellphone to the officer.

Companies engaged in these essential and critical sectors must meet the following requirements:

  1. Data of Person in charge
  2. Company ID 
  3. ID/Temporary Stay Permit Card/Permanent Stay Permit Card of Person In Charge
  4. Business registration number (NIB) for private companies
  5. Attach a list of employees/workers accompanied by other documents, including a certificate of vaccination for the first minimum dose or a statement that they will participate in the COVID-19 vaccination program have not vaccinated against COVID-19 for certain/medical reasons. 

STRP is also mandatory for people traveling with urgent needs. Communities who can apply for STRP include visiting sick families, visiting families of mourners/officers, pregnant women, and maternity needs and their companions.

The community STRP requirements document are as follows:

  1. Applicant's ID card
  2. Photo size 4x6 color
  3. Cover letter RT/RW specifically for individual applicants with urgent needs
  4. A vaccination certificate at least the first dose or a statement that they will participate in the COVID-19 vaccination program for those who have not vaccinated against COVID-19 for certain/medical reasons.
