Says Go Find Honey, A Natuna Residents Come Home Dead

NATUNA - A resident of Natuna Regency, Riau Islands, Jawasan (43) was found dead, a day after missing while looking for honey in the forest of Sepempeng Village, East Bunguran District.

Head of the Natuna SAR Office, Mexianus Be Kabel, said that the joint team found the victim's body lying under a tree, at around 06.45 WIB, Wednesday, July 7.

According to him, the victim allegedly fell from a tree while taking honey with a height of about 25 meters. The person in question suffered serious head injuries as a result of the impact.

"The victim's body has been handed over to the family", said Mexianus as quoted by Antara.

Mexianus explained that at first, Jawasan said goodbye to his family to look for honey in the forest, Tuesday, July 6. However, until the afternoon the victim did not return home.

The worried family reported the incident to the Natuna SAR Office. After that, the joint team immediately went down to look for victims in the forest.

"As of Tuesday night at around 01.00 WIB, the victim has not been found", he said.

Mexianius appreciated all the combined elements including SAR, TNI, Police, and residents involved in the SAR operation.

Search and rescue operations carried out on conditions that endanger humans, one person lost while looking for honey in the forest of Sepempang Village was declared complete and closed.
