Recently Launched, Pro-Trump Social Media Hacked
JAKARTA - Even though he is no longer the President of the United States, Donald Trump still has quite a fanatical fan. Seen, Trump supporters or commonly dubbed pro-Trump launched social media namely GETTR, which contains pro-Trump people. However, not long ago, social media was hacked.
As reported by Reuters, Monday, July 5, the social media was launched by a senior adviser to former President Donald Trump, Jason Miller. Before the hack, more than 500,000 people had signed up to use the site.
GETTR is a Twitter-style platform with trending posts and topics. The platform also promotes its app on Google Play and the App Store as a "non-biased social network for people around the world".
"The problem was detected and sealed within minutes, and all an intruder can do is change some usernames", Miller said.
Several screenshot posts circulated on Twitter showing profiles of GETTR users, including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Miller himself, whose bio was changed to "JubaBaghdad is here, follow me on Twitter :)". But Miller said the social media can now be used again.

In fact, Miller was aware of the Trump team's plans to start a new social media platform for months, as Twitter and other platforms had blocked Trump after the January 6 riots in which his supporters stormed the Capitol.
Therefore, Miller told Fox News earlier this week that he hoped Trump would join, but he is considering it.
Meanwhile, Miller acknowledged that Trump did not fund the platform. Former Trump adviser, Steve Bannon, on Sunday described GETTR as a "Twitter killer" in a post on the new site.
As previously reported, Trump is permanently banned from Twitter and remains suspended by Facebook until 2023. Likewise, YouTube is planning until the company determines that the risk of violence has been reduced.
