Forcing Students To Act Adult Scenes, James Franco Must Pay US$ 2.235 million
JAKARTA - Actor James Franco agreed to pay US$ 2.235 million or equivalent to IDR 32.5 billion to solve a sexual harassment case that dragged his name. Since October 2019, Franco has allegedly forced his acting school students to do adult scenes in front of the camera.
James Franco owns an acting school called Studio 4 with his friend, Vince Jolivette. Founded in 2014, this school has two branches, namely Los Angeles and New York.
In 2019, Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal sued James Franco in Los Angeles Superior Court. Both reported acts of sexual harassment including being asked to perform simulated sex scenes as part of an additional acting class.

The lawsuit states that students who undergo scenes will be recorded on the grounds that Franco can review the scene and choose who passes into the class. They were also asked to sign a contract regarding the recording.
The Spider-Man star denied all accusations and called them untrue. But citing Indiewire today, July 1, Franco will pay US$ 2.235 million to cancel the lawsuit reported.
In addition, students who wish to pursue their cases are given two months to leave James Franco's acting school.
On the other hand, actor Seth Rogen stated that he would not cooperate with his best friend James Franco in any form. Franco himself is increasingly active in acting, starting from starring in the HBO series, The Deuce to several other films such as Zeroville to The Long Home.
